Wedding at Abbotsford Convent – Lucy & Connor

Lucy and Connor’s Abbotsford Convent wedding was full of colour, emotion, and joy. Set in the heart of Melbourne, their day was personal, stylish, and filled with meaning. From the soft morning light to dancing under the stars, it was a celebration of everything that mattered most to them.

Lucy, a self-confessed lover of orange, brought her vision to life with a pastel palette and pops of tangerine. The ceremony took place in the Convent gardens, followed by a reception in the Rosina Room, where heritage walls and fairy lights created a romantic mood.

Every detail had intention. Their celebrant, Megan Thompson, told their story beautifully. Lucy wore a Georgia Young gown with a pearl-detailed veil, while Connor looked sharp in a custom Brent Wilson suit. Their bridal party rocked mixed pastel looks, and florals by North St Botanical added a fresh, playful touch.

One of the sweetest parts? Their choreographed first dance to Gwen Stefani, which surprised guests and set the tone for an epic dance floor, thanks to Hey Jack. There was also a Super 8 film (by me) and a vintage audio guest book by Off The Hook capturing messages from their favourite people.

It was a day that felt warm, grounded and completely theirs — and I was lucky to capture it.
